The City of Fort Myers is named for a civil war era colonel and lies along the Caloosahatchee River. Also known as the “River District”, the downtown area is home to shopping, parks, restaurants, theaters, museums, and clubs, all within a short walk of the river. The famous Edison/Ford Estate is located less than a mile from the city center. The winter estates are 17 acres of beautiful gardens situated along the Caloosahatchee River and are the most important historical treasure in Lee County. The City of Ft. Myers is also the spring training home of the Boston Red Sox. Every spring the city bustles with Red Sox fans from all over the world, here to get the first glimpse of their team before the upcoming baseball season.

Lehigh Acres, If you are looking for a little bit of country in a city, look no further. Lehigh Acres lies just east of Ft. Myers and until the 1950’s remained populated with large farms and cattle ranches. In 1951 Lee Ratner purchased about 100 square miles of what is known today as Lehigh Acres and platted the area into quarter acre and half acre lots. Today Lehigh has over 60,000 acres, 100,000 platted lots, and 70,000 residents. There are miles of freshwater canals to kayak or canoe, and loads of hiking and biking trails to explore. Lehigh offers something to suit almost any lifestyle. Lehigh’s location just east of I 75 makes it a convenient and short drive to Ft. Myers and Cape Coral and in about 30 minutes you can be walking on one of the finest gulf beaches in Southwest Florida, boating, sunning, or watching one of our incredible Southwest Florida sunsets.

The City of Cape Coral which lies across the river from Ft. Myers is the largest city in Lee County with a current population of 174,000. Once just a collection of cattle ranches, fishing villages and vacant land, the city was developed in the 1950’s by the Rosen Brothers and named Cape Coral. The city features over 400 miles of canals and borders the Caloosahatchee River. Waterfront living is the norm with lots of boating, sailing, fishing and water activities to keep you busy along with the finest in shopping, dining and cultural activities. Cape Coral is still home to thousands of vacant buildable lots at very good prices.

The City of Bonita Springs and the Estero area is located south along US 41 between Ft. Myers and Naples. This area has experienced tremendous growth over the last 10 years prompting Bonita Springs to become a city. Bonita, known as the “Gateway to the Gulf”, is home to some of the area’s most beautiful sugar sand beaches. Boating, fishing, shelling, sunning and of course golf are some of the more popular activities at your fingertips in Bonita. Some of the finest dining and shopping in Lee County can be found in Bonita. Coconut Point, one of the areas 2 new malls, is located only a few minutes south of Bonita in Estero. Coconut Point is the center of focus for a 500-acre, master planned community that is more than a shopping center. The property includes 90,000 square feet of office condominiums, residential units, up to 1.2 million square feet of retail space, and a variety of great restaurants - all surrounding several acres of lakes with a boardwalk. The Coconut Point experience includes over 100 department and specialty retail stores, the finest in dining and clubs, and a 16 screen Muvico Theatre.

The Town of Ft. Myers Beach lies south of Ft. Myers along the Gulf of Mexico. Situated on the seven mile long Estero Island, the city has miles of unspoiled, white sugar sand beaches to enjoy. With a population of approximately 7,000 residents the city has many fine restaurants, great “beach” shopping, and beach activities. From swimming in the warm gulf waters, to shelling, parasailing, windsurfing, and jet skiing. Or you can rent a bike or moped and tour the island.

The City of Sanibel and Captiva Island lie across Estero Bay from Ft. Myers Beach. There was a time when you could only reach these islands by boat or the ferry that traveled every day between Punta Rassa and Sanibel. Today the islands are connected to the mainland by a 3 mile long causeway. The causeway was originally constructed in the 1960’s and was just recently rebuilt. There are no stop lights on the island and buildings on Sanibel are no taller than the tallest palm tree. There are miles of unspoiled, natural beaches and the best shelling in the world is found on Sanibel. The island is also home to some of the area’s finest restaurants, shopping, theater, and small museums. Sanibel/Captiva is also famous for its world class fishing. Bring your own boat or charter one of the many boats and captains available to experience the best in saltwater fishing in the area. Redfish, snook, grouper, snapper, and tarpon are plentiful in these waters. At the end of Sanibel Island lies Captiva Island. Visitors come from all over the world to visit Captiva. It is a small little village of homes, condos and home to the famous South Seas Plantation Resort. One of the most popular events on Captiva takes place every evening at sunset. If you have never seen the sunset here it is worth the trip.
